Shift Abortion Stigma

Whole Woman’s Health Alliance is working to strategically shift the stigma around abortion in our culture.

We are committed to fostering open and honest conversations, lifting up all communities, and transforming the abortion care environment.

Our Clinics

Each of our clinics offers care for women, by women. We treat the whole woman – her body, heart and mind.

Questions about Abortion?

We believe that in order to make a sound decision, a woman must be equipped with accurate information.

Outreach & Education

Our programs are designed to address the shame and stigma surrounding abortion, provide important resources and support those who need abortion care.

Donate

We rely on support from the communities we serve in order to keep clinics operating. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to help women access the quality abortion care they deserve.

Whole Woman’s Health Alliance files litigation in Indiana, Texas and Virginia

The 2016 Supreme Court decision in Whole Woman’s Health v. Hellerstedt reaffirmed a woman’s right to end a pregnancy without the “undue burden” of medically unnecessary restrictions. The ruling found that politicians cannot simply claim that an abortion restriction’s benefits outweigh the harm. Instead, a court must consider medical science and evidence to determine if abortion restrictions have benefits that outweigh the burdens they place on women. Whole Woman’s Health Alliance is challenging laws in Indiana, Texas and Virginia that block access to safe and legal abortion. “In Texas, Virginia and Indiana, we have joined forces with our allies to fight for women’s access to quality abortion care without a maze of obstacles,” said Amy Hagstrom Miller, President of Whole Woman’s Health Alliance. “The Whole Woman’s Health Supreme Court victory was game-changing – affirming that abortion laws must be based on medical evidence. We’re using this new standard to challenge dozens of restrictions, some dating back decades, that are based on ideology, not health and science.”
