Caravanning for the Abortion Crisis

We are just days away from the U.S. Supreme Court releasing a decision that could overturn the federal right to abortion. While abortion is still legal, there has never been a more important moment to join together to ensure it stays that way. That’s why we’re partnering with Liberate Abortion to mobilize supporters to fight back.

This week, Liberate Abortion is embarking on a multi-state caravan to the heart of the communities most affected by extremist abortion laws. They are raising the alarm about the abortion crisis with events and actions all along the way, as well as ways to engage from afar. Our Advocacy Director Steph Nash has joined the entire ride, which ends in Jackson, Mississippi on June 17th.

The caravan started yesterday in Austin, Texas’ state capitol, where our Senior Director of Clinical Services Marva Sadler gave a heartfelt speech to Texans and the media. The next stop was Whole Woman’s Health of Fort Worth, where abortion advocates brought a warm meal to clinic staff and beautified the exterior.

Here’s a look at the team in Fort Worth and the clinic’s newly painted sign and lot!

Follow along on social media with #LiberateAbortion or by signing up for updates below. Also, we encourage you to plug in to your local abortion advocacy organization and/or abortion fund for rallies being planned in your city or state. We hope you’ll help us urge lawmakers to keep their bans off our bodies.

Whole Woman’s Health Alliance is proud to be a member of Liberate Abortion, a multi-tactical coalition of more than 150 reproductive health, rights, and justice organizations.
