Janet Crepps

Janet Crepps has spent her legal career protecting reproductive rights and supporting abortion providers nationwide. She began her work in 1990 as a lobbyist for the Idaho Chapter of the ACLU and later served as State Legislative Counsel for the Center for Reproductive Rights, where she helped providers fight restrictive legislation and build proactive protections. In her 25 years as an attorney for the Center for Reproductive Rights, Janet represented abortion providers across the country, challenging state and federal restrictions, including serving as lead counsel in the case that established abortion as a fundamental right under the Kansas Constitution. In 2018, she became Director of Regulatory Assistance for Abortion Providers (RAAP), a division of Resources for Abortion Providers, offering critical compliance guidance on issues including TRAP laws, telehealth, and medication abortion. Janet retired from the full-time practice of law at the end of 2024.
